February salary: KGSG apologizes to civil servants for delay

The Kogi State Government has issued a public apology to civil servants in the Kogi over delay in payment of the February 2020 salary, attributing it to delayed receipt of Federal allocation to the state and a short fall in the amount accrue to the state. In a statement issued by the state commissioner for information and Communication, Evangelist Kingsley Fanwo said government have sourced for funds to augment what’s available. He praised the civil servants for their patience and understanding, and assured that payment has since begun and all civil servants are expected to get paid in the next 24 hours. The statement reads; “We want to apologize for the slight delay in the payment of February salary to our patriotic and industrious civil servants in the Kogi State.
